The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) is set to release the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results on Friday, March 13, 2026, at State House Nakasero.
The Minister of Education and Sports, and First Lady Janet Museveni, is expected to officiate the release for 166,402 candidates. Of these, 93,630 are male and 77,772 are female, according to UNEB.
UNEB has also issued a warning that results for schools with outstanding invoices will not be released. This marks the conclusion of the 2025 national examination cycle, following the earlier releases of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
While many students and parents eagerly anticipate the release, uncertainty still surrounds 176 students from St. Gracious Secondary School in Lira City. Their UCE results were withheld due to suspected examination malpractice.
The results were flagged after examiners noticed unusual similarities in the answers provided by the candidates to certain questions.
UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule explained, “These similarities raised concerns during the marking process, prompting us to withhold the results pending further investigation.”
Sources close to the review process have revealed that the issue became more suspicious when it was found that, despite the similar responses, the answers were incorrect.
An insider disclosed that UNEB is currently reviewing the scripts and results of the affected candidates and later the school administration will be called to appear for an official hearing and provide further clarification.
