I want to give my view on the notion being used in the campaign by some politicians, saying don’t link up the roles with chains implying that vote only one party in the different elective positions. This statements are used mostly by people who don’t cherish Unity, and it’s a sign of fear, hatred and lack of humility.
“Chains control, ropes unite.”
“We choose freedom, not chains.”
“A chain locks you — a rope lifts you.”
“No party owns Uganda.”
Accountability & Change
“Leadership is service, not a flag.”
“Vote ideas, not fear.”
“Change is not chaos.”
“Uganda first, party later.”
“Building Uganda together is cheaper”
“Fellow Ugandans, today we are not here to fight anyone. We are here to remind ourselves that Uganda belongs to all of us, not to one party.”
A chain represents control and silence
A rope represents cooperation and unity
Uganda needs unity with freedom, not control with fear
“Voting UPC or opposition does not stop government services.”
Roads, hospitals, and schools are paid for by taxpayers
Leaders are servants, not owners
Your vote is your constitutional right
“Government money is not party money.”
“Opposition does not mean enemies. Opposition means checking power so leaders work for the people.
“Wearing different party colors does not make us enemies.”
Poverty, Disease, and Ignorance are the real enemies
“We compete in ideas, not in hatred.”
“Vote with confidence. Vote without fear. Vote for accountability.”
“Power belongs to the people!” not to the Party
So let’s not confuse our voters .
