The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, will resume his farewell visits this weekend.
The Archbishop is expected to arrive in West Lango Diocese on Friday, 18th September 2026, and will bid farewell to Christians on Saturday, 19th September, at St Peter’s Cathedral, Aduku (Kwania District). The Diocesan Bishop is Rt Rev Julius Ceasar Nina.
He will later proceed to the Diocese of Lango (Lira) on the same day and bid farewell to Christians on Sunday, 20th September, at All Saints Cathedral, Boroboro. The Diocesan Bishop is Rt Rev Prof. Alfred Olwa.
On Friday, 25th September, the Archbishop will arrive in Kitgum Diocese and bid farewell to Christians on Saturday, 26th September, at All Saints Cathedral, Kitgum. The Diocesan Bishop is Rt Rev Wilson Kitara.
He will proceed to the Diocese of Northern Uganda on the same day and bid farewell to Christians on Sunday, 27th September, at Gulu High School Playground in Gulu City. The Diocesan Bishop is Rt Rev Godfrey Loum.
The Archbishop has so far covered 18 out of 39 Dioceses on his Provincial farewell tour as he prepares to retire as the 9th Archbishop of Church of Uganda.
