VOTE OF THANKS TO THE SECRETARY GENERAL, NRM

Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong,
Secretary General, National Resistance Movement (NRM)

Dear Rt. Hon. Secretary General,

On behalf of the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Team, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend our deepest appreciation for the exceptional leadership, guidance, and courtesy extended to us during the ongoing NRM Parliamentary Retreat at the National Leadership Institute (NALI), Kyankwanzi.

Rt. Hon. Secretary General, your deliberate and meticulous coordination—particularly in guiding our preparation, protocol alignment, and eventual presentation—ensured that our participation was not only seamless but also meaningfully integrated into a highly organized national platform graced by H.E. the President.

We are profoundly grateful for the special gesture of honor accorded to the OWC Team. The opportunity granted to us to present on “Harnessing Synergies & Institutional Linkages Towards 10-Fold Growth”, alongside the conceptual framing of Consociational Democracy as a mechanism for managing diversity, strengthening stability, and fostering national cohesion, was both humbling and strategically significant.

We further wish to reaffirm our strong alignment with the vision of the Chief Coordinator, OWC, Caleb Akandwanaho, particularly in advancing the Land Use Balance Sheet as a transformative instrument to anchor agro-industrialization in data, equity, and productivity—ensuring optimal utilization of Uganda’s resource base for household and national prosperity.

Rt. Hon. Secretary General, we also take this opportunity to sincerely appreciate the warm institutional support and commitment extended by the NRM Secretariat and the National Leadership Institute. The assurance of collaboration in Research and Development is a critical step in translating the NRM ideology and strategic vision into actionable programs that directly impact household incomes and drive national transformation.

We respectfully convey our heartfelt gratitude to H.E. the President, Yoweri Museveni, for his visionary leadership and for creating an inclusive platform that allows cadres and leaders to engage, reflect, and align on the next phase of Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.

Finally, we remain deeply indebted to Afande Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho (Salim Saleh) for the trust and confidence he placed in us to represent the OWC fraternity at such a strategic national forum.

Rt. Hon. Secretary General, kindly accept our sincere appreciation for your stewardship, humility, and unwavering commitment to the Movement’s historical mission.

I humbly submit.

Col (Rtd) Dr. Francis Ongia
